Photographing Oaxaca for more than 15 years
Photos, video, and drone for foundations, nonprofits, and social enterprises working in Oaxaca. Field visits, community projects, before-and-after work, and short films for donors and reports. In English and Spanish.

Oaxaca City
Calle 5 de Mayo connects a busy bus terminal to the Jalatlaco neighborhood. Through its Asphalt Art Initiative, Bloomberg Philanthropies helped redesign it with crosswalks, a walking path, and artwork. I photographed the street before and after.
Zaachila, Central Valleys
For Aveda Earth Month. The pueblo of Carme, outside Zaachila, had no source of water, and its women were putting systems in place to catch rainwater. The photos tell their story: how hard these women work, and what they need to keep going.

Apoala, Mixteca
Rutopía connects travelers with rural communities that run their own ecotourism. In Apoala, with the women of Mujeres Milenarias, I photographed the work that goes into making pulque, the home cooking, the handicrafts, the way the community takes care of its visitors, and the land around Apoala and the Mixteca.

I speak English and Spanish. I'm American and have lived in Oaxaca since 2007, and many of the places I work are a few hours from the city on dirt roads. You get photos you can use in grant reports, annual reports, your website, and social media.
