Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 17, 2026
This policy explains how Douglas Favero Photography (“we,” “us,” “our”), based in Oaxaca, Mexico, collects and uses personal data through this website, douglasfavero.com. It’s written to comply with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and similar privacy laws.
If you’ve booked photography or videography services with us, the privacy terms of your signed client contract govern the data you share with us as part of that booking (planning details, guest lists, delivered files, payment records, etc.), and take precedence over this policy for anything related to your event. This policy covers only your interactions with this website itself — browsing it, submitting the contact form, and similar.
Who we are
Douglas Favero Photography is a sole proprietorship based in Oaxaca, Mexico. For any privacy question or request, contact:
Email: info@douglasfavero.com
What personal data we collect
- Contact form submissions: your name, your partner’s name, email address, partner’s email address, phone number, wedding venue/location, wedding date, and anything you choose to share about yourselves.
- Site analytics: automatically collected data such as your approximate location, device and browser type, pages viewed, and how you arrived at the site, via Google Analytics.
- Advertising data: if you arrive from a Google Ads campaign, Google Ads records whether that visit led to a contact form submission or a WhatsApp click, so ad performance can be measured.
- WhatsApp: clicking the WhatsApp button opens a chat in WhatsApp itself; any messages you send there are handled under WhatsApp’s own privacy policy, not this one.
We do not require account registration, and this site does not have a comments section.
Why we collect it, and our legal basis
- Responding to your inquiry (contact form): to reply to you and discuss your wedding or event. Legal basis: you providing your information to request a service (Art. 6(1)(b)/(f) GDPR — contract preparation / legitimate interest).
- Understanding site traffic and improving the site (analytics): legitimate interest in understanding how visitors use the site, or your consent where required.
- Measuring advertising effectiveness (Google Ads conversion tracking): your consent, where required under applicable law.
Who we share it with
We use the following third-party services, each of which processes data under its own privacy policy:
- Web3Forms — relays contact form submissions to our email inbox. Web3Forms does not use form data for any purpose beyond delivering it to us.
- Google Analytics (Google LLC) — website traffic analytics.
- Google Ads (Google LLC) — conversion tracking for advertising campaigns.
These services may process data on servers outside Mexico and the European Economic Area, including in the United States. Google is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework for this purpose.
We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it with anyone else beyond what’s needed to run this website and respond to your inquiry.
Cookies
This site uses cookies set by Google Analytics and Google Ads to recognize your browser across page views and measure site/ad performance. You can block or delete these cookies in your browser’s settings at any time; doing so won’t affect your ability to browse the site or use the contact form.
How long we keep your data
We keep contact form submissions for as long as reasonably necessary to respond to your inquiry and, if you become a client, for the duration of our business relationship plus any period required by law (e.g., for tax or accounting records). Analytics data is retained according to Google Analytics’ standard retention settings.
Your rights
If you are located in the European Economic Area (or another jurisdiction with similar protections), you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data
- Restrict or object to our processing of your data
- Receive your data in a portable format
- Withdraw consent at any time, where processing is based on consent
- Lodge a complaint with your local data protection supervisory authority
To exercise any of these rights, email info@douglasfavero.com.
