Hi, I'm Douglas Favero.
Since 2006, I have brought my camera with me to 4 continents. I love being in new places and am inspired by the amazing photographic opportunities every destination wedding presents to me.
I am a native English speaker fluent in Spanish. You won’t have to worry about any confusion between your photographer and your friends and family.
Originally from Illinois, since 2007 I have lived in Oaxaca, my wife’s hometown. I feel at home with those who love Mexico, whether they’re from here or elsewhere.
2008: My first wedding. I’m backed up by 16 years of couples trusting me with the most important day of their lives. 2008 is also the year I had my own cross-cultural wedding in Oaxaca.

My first wedding as a photographer was on May 31, 2008, at the Museo de los Pintores and Casa Oaxaca Hotel. The bride was from Brooklyn, redheaded, intense, creative. The groom was from the Isthmus of Oaxaca, with a mohawk and red Converse All-Stars. I took the photos as if there was no tomorrow.
When I handed over the results, I said, “I did my best.” They replied, “We know.” At that moment, I realized that they had trusted me from the beginning. I learned that my motivation with each couple is to reaffirm – through their experience with me – that they have done well by trusting me.
The process, step by step.
I’m here for you, to answer any questions you may have, and to take care of capturing the only thing that remains of your day after it’s over: the photos! The process to start working together consists of three simple steps.
1. We get to know each other: By phone or in person, we go over your day and the photography style, services, and products you’re looking for.
2. Your package: I’ll share a package with you based on your preferences and needs. You’ll look it over and let me know about any questions or changes that need to be made.
3. Reserving the date: Once your package is ready to go, you’ll reserve the date with your signed contract and 50% of the package price. And that’s it! One less thing on the list, congratulations! You have secured a photographer you trust, with the experience, professionalism, and style you’re looking for.

Fantastic! To reserve your wedding date, we’ll need a completed contract and a 50% deposit. If you don’t have a contract yet, just let us know and we’ll send one over! The remaining balance will be due two weeks before the wedding.

Galleries typically include 100 images per hour. The exact amount varies from wedding to wedding. Your online gallery will come loaded with edited, high-resolution images you can print and share.

We typically add travel fees, however, for the time being … no travel fees!

Do you work alone or with a team?
A:
The typical photo-and-video package includes myself and one other photographer, and two videographers, for a total of four of us.
However, packages can be customized to suit your needs. For example, I have been the sole photographer for many weddings, especially for smaller weddings and elopements.
