Valerie & Adan’s Wedding at Hotel Boutique Los Laureles in Oaxaca

In the lush tucked-away garden of Hotel Boutique Los Laureles in the San Felipe hills above Oaxaca’s historic downtown, surrounded by the warmth of loving friends and family, Valerie and Adan celebrated their lifelong commitment to each other. Congratulations, Valerie and Adan!

A note about how the photos and videos here were created. Val and Adan wanted to keep their celebration intimate, so I was the sole person they hired to capture their weekend wedding in Oaxaca.

They chose to go with just me because they didn’t want a whole team of photo and video, but they did want a short video to go along with their photos, which were their priority. They wanted their video to include clear audio of vows and speeches. Their beautiful setting in the foothills also demanded at least a few epic aerial photos and clips.

Because of my experience of shooting hybrid with photo and video and my strategy for selecting just the right moments for use of the drone, I was able to provide everything they wanted: A sole photographer with a small footprint who could provide an abundance of photographs, a moving highlight video with clear audio of the most meaningful lines of their vows and speeches, along with one of their favorite songs as a couple, and epic aerial views that enhance the experience of revisiting their incredible weekend in this gorgeous natural environment.
