El Cardenal Oaxaca Wedding Venue

El Cardenal is one of the most convenient venues in Oaxaca, just north of Santo Domingo church on Calle Alcalá. Around its main open space are several smaller areas, each with its own design, so the cocktail hour, dinner and dancing can each feel different without anyone leaving the building.

Because it’s so close to Santo Domingo, it works well for couples who marry at the church and want their guests to walk to the reception.

Anneka + Alejandro

Anneka and Alejandro were married in Santo Domingo, and their reception was at El Cardenal, a short walk up Calle Alcalá. The backlit bar became a mezcal mixology station, and the guests kept coming back to it. There were cold sparks for the first dance, and later the guests threw Alejandro in the air.
