La Fábrica Patio Wedding Venue
La Fábrica Patio is an old factory in the Centro Histórico of Oaxaca, a short walk from Santo Domingo, now a courtyard venue for small to medium weddings. The main patio is open to the sky, with a red clay wall on one side, a textured wall at the back, and full-grown trees and plants in between. Below it is a smaller room that works well for an intimate ceremony.
Because it’s so close to Santo Domingo, a lot of couples get married at the church or at a nearby venue and then end the night here. I’ve photographed three weddings at La Fábrica, and each one looked different.

Xime + Luis
After their ceremony at Santo Domingo and a calenda through the Centro, Xime and Luis had their reception at La Fábrica, with speeches in front of the clay wall and dancing late into the night.

Mariana + Eduardo
Mariana and Eduardo were married at Los Lavaderos in the Hotel Quinta Real, then came to La Fábrica for dinner, their first dance, and a full dance floor.

See Mariana and Eduardo’s wedding.
Paula + Toto
Paula and Toto had their ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception at La Fábrica, after formals in the Jardín Etnobotánico.
